i reflected for a little while on why i'm so reliably unkind about this sort of thing, and i think what it comes down to - apart from the considerable degree to which i am just a naysaying asshole by nature - is the way that i live inside an industry whose hype cycle has pretty well ensorcelled the whole species.

@liw Everything on the Model01 can be controlled from the PC with a bit of code! The Focus plugin makes that very simple: it lets you add custom commands to the Model01's serial protocol, and you can write whatever you wish to do in the custom handler.
